Thank you for choosing the Accordian for the Macintosh and Newton systems.
Here are version 1.0b release notes.
What is Accordian?
Accordian is a live link for your Newton PDA and FileMaker Pro databases. You must use FileMaker Pro 3.0. This is a Macintosh only version— There is no plan to do a Windows version. Exporting records to FileMaker databases is not operational in this BETA (2/9/98). Accordian supports all of the builtin Newton applications plus other 3rd party Newton apps like MoreInfo, Pocket Money, etc.
This is a BETA version. It expires February 16, 1998. This version will not work on European Macintosh computers due to a date format conflict. The final version will work, however. If you have bugs to report, please enter them on the Support page on our web site. There is a form for technical support questions. Please use this form to submit your bug reports and include all relevant information.
Things you should know about…
• "Accordian" for the Mac uses the "RCU2.3.pkg" for the Newton. Users of RCU need not download the package again into their Newton PDA.
• If you intend to have Accordian connected for an extended period of time, we recommend you plug your Newton device into an AC power adapter. If you do not, keep in mind that your Newton PDA will shut off at the sleep interval you set in preferences if there is no activity in Accordian for that interval. Simply being connected does not keep your Newton awake.
• You must have the Apple Modem Tool installed in your System Folder (Extensions folder) and you should turn AppleTalk off if you are trying to connect through the printer port.
